Who We Are -What We Do

The Pan African Faith Leaders Initiative for Peace, Justice and Human Dignity (PAFLI) is a continental faith-based organization that brings together faith leaders, religious institutions, communities, and partners across Africa to promote peace, justice, human rights, reconciliation, and human dignity.

Founded in Rwanda and operating with a Pan-African vision, PAFLI serves as a platform for collaboration, advocacy, capacity building, research, and community engagement aimed at creating peaceful, inclusive, and prosperous societies.

We believe that faith leaders have a unique responsibility and opportunity to influence positive change, strengthen social cohesion, and contribute to sustainable development throughout Africa and beyond.

PAFLI

Our Continental Reach

PAFLI is established with a continental vision and operates across Africa through national chapters, country representatives, faith leaders, and strategic partnerships.

Each country branch is established and registered according to the legal requirements of the respective country while remaining aligned with the mission and vision of the Pan African Faith Leaders Initiative.

Main Objectives

Promote Peace and Reconciliation

We facilitate dialogue, mediation, and community engagement initiatives that promote peaceful coexistence and social cohesion while combating division, discrimination, and hatred.

Strengthen Faith Leaders

We build the capacity of faith leaders to address conflicts, injustice, and human suffering while promoting peace, justice, and human dignity.

Advance Justice and Human Rights

We advocate for human rights, equality, religious freedom, and access to justice through partnerships and policy engagement.

Empower Communities

We support faith leaders and communities through knowledge sharing, leadership development, and international cooperation for sustainable peace and development.

What We Do

The Pan African Faith Leaders Initiative for Peace, Justice and Human Dignity (PAFLI) works across Africa to mobilize faith leaders, strengthen communities, and build partnerships that promote peace, justice, human rights, and human dignity.

Through advocacy, capacity building, research, dialogue, and strategic partnerships, we address some of the most pressing social, humanitarian, and governance challenges affecting African communities.

Peacebuilding and Conflict Resolution

Community mediation and reconciliation, Peace dialogue forums, Conflict prevention and early warning initiatives and Interfaith cooperation programs

Human Rights and Justice Advocacy

Human rights awareness campaigns, Advocacy for vulnerable and marginalized communities, Promotion of religious freedom and equality and Policy engagement and civic participation

Capacity Building

Leadership development programs, Training for faith leaders and community leaders, Organizational strengthening initiatives and Research and knowledge-sharing platforms

Community Development

Social cohesion programs, Community empowerment initiatives, Humanitarian support and solidarity actions and Sustainable development partnerships

Research and Awareness

Research on peace, justice, and social issues, Publication of reports and policy recommendations, Public awareness campaigns and Regional and international conferences

We build strong partnerships with faith-based organizations, governments, civil society organizations, development agencies, academic institutions, and international partners.
