Peace & Reconciliation Commission

The Peace & Reconciliation Commission serves as a cornerstone of PAFLI’s mission to promote peace, unity, and social cohesion across Africa. The Commission works to prevent conflicts, facilitate dialogue, and support reconciliation processes among individuals, communities, faith groups, and institutions affected by tensions and violence. Through mediation, peace education, community engagement, and collaboration with local and international partners, the Commission seeks to address the root causes of conflict and promote sustainable peace. Its goal is to build stronger, more resilient communities where people live together in harmony, mutual respect, and understanding.

Justice & Human Rights Commission

The Justice & Human Rights Commission is dedicated to promoting justice, accountability, equality, and the protection of fundamental human rights. The Commission advocates for vulnerable and marginalized populations, supports efforts to combat discrimination and injustice, and promotes respect for the rule of law. Through advocacy campaigns, awareness programs, policy engagement, and collaboration with relevant institutions, the Commission works to ensure that every individual enjoys equal rights, freedom, protection, and dignity. It seeks to amplify the voices of those who are often unheard and contribute to building societies founded on justice and respect for human rights.

Women Commission

The Women Commission is committed to empowering women as leaders, peacebuilders, and agents of positive change within their communities and across Africa. The Commission promotes women’s participation in leadership, governance, peacebuilding, and development initiatives while advocating for gender equality, inclusion, and the protection of women’s rights. Through mentorship, capacity-building programs, advocacy, and community engagement, the Commission seeks to strengthen the role of women in advancing peace, justice, and sustainable development. It works to create opportunities that enable women to fully contribute to the transformation of society.

Youth Commission

The Youth Commission empowers and mobilizes young people to become champions of peace, justice, and social transformation. Recognizing that youth are key drivers of change, the Commission equips them with leadership skills, knowledge, and opportunities to actively participate in community development and peacebuilding efforts. It works to combat violence, extremism, hate speech, discrimination, and other challenges affecting young people while promoting civic engagement, innovation, and responsible leadership. Through training, advocacy, and youth-led initiatives, the Commission inspires a new generation committed to building a peaceful and prosperous Africa.

Human Dignity & Social Protection Commission

The Human Dignity & Social Protection Commission promotes and protects the inherent worth and dignity of every human being. The Commission advocates for equality, inclusion, compassion, and social justice while supporting vulnerable populations affected by poverty, discrimination, displacement, violence, or social exclusion. Through awareness campaigns, community outreach, humanitarian support, and advocacy initiatives, it works to ensure that every individual is treated with respect and has access to opportunities that improve their well-being. The Commission is committed to fostering a society where human dignity is protected and valued at all levels.

Advocacy & Public Policy Commission

The Advocacy & Public Policy Commission advances PAFLI’s voice in promoting peace, justice, human rights, and human dignity at local, national, regional, and international levels. The Commission engages governments, policymakers, regional bodies, faith institutions, and international organizations to influence policies and decisions that affect communities across Africa. Through research, advocacy campaigns, policy dialogue, and strategic engagement, it promotes solutions that address social challenges, strengthen democratic values, and protect human rights. The Commission serves as a bridge between communities and decision-makers, ensuring that the concerns and aspirations of citizens are heard and addressed.

Resource Mobilization & Partnership Commission

The Resource Mobilization & Partnership Commission plays a vital role in ensuring the sustainability and growth of PAFLI’s programs and initiatives. The Commission develops and strengthens partnerships with faith-based organizations, development partners, governments, donors, foundations, private sector institutions, and civil society organizations. It leads fundraising efforts, identifies resource opportunities, and promotes collaboration that supports the achievement of PAFLI’s mission. Through strategic networking and partnership development, the Commission helps expand the organization’s impact and capacity to serve communities across Africa.

Communication & Media Commission

The Communication & Media Commission is responsible for promoting PAFLI’s mission, values, and activities through effective communication and public engagement. The Commission develops awareness campaigns, manages media relations, and ensures the dissemination of accurate and impactful information that advances peace, justice, and human dignity. It works to counter hate speech, misinformation, and divisive narratives while promoting messages of unity, reconciliation, and social cohesion. Through digital platforms, traditional media, publications, and public outreach, the Commission amplifies the voices of faith leaders and communities working for positive change across Africa.
